A burgeoning writer and journalist, I am currently reporting for the Ozarks Sentinel newspaper. I wanted to create a place to talk about the pink elephants trumpeting in rooms across the globe. As a former psychology/sociology/anthropology student, I always have been and continue to be interested in relational issues, especially the ones that are uncomfortable for people to talk about. Every community has things that are tearing it apart from the inside out, and these are the most difficult problems to solve. Regional and national trends are always a melting pot of the problems happening on an individual level, much like a virus has to infect millions of individual cells before a person displays symptoms recognizable outside the body. My hope is to educate people about how such situations evolve, open a dialogue about things that are sometimes considered taboo to discuss, and show people that you can talk about difficult things without being derogatory or unnecessarily graphic.
